Nilya was an undergraduate researcher in the class of 2025. Her research interests included studying the ROONO intermediate in the reaction forming alkyl nitrate, as well as characterizing carbonyl ring closing mechanisms. In her free time she enjoys crocheting, listening to music, and going to concerts.
Nilya will be continuing her chemistry journey at UC Davis in the Physical Chemistry PhD program
Ella was a 4th year chemistry major at UCLA, class of 2025, working with Cooper. She is from San Francisco, and outside of lab, enjoys doing yoga, reading, and going to concerts
Faye was a fourth-year undergraduate studying chemistry and atmospheric and oceanic sciences at UCLA, class of 2025. Their research focused on the use of chamber experiments to study product formation ratios of bimolecular peroxy radical reactions. In their free time, they enjoy rock climbing, backpacking, and concert-going.
Congratulations to the class of 2025 and Barber Lab Undergraduates Faye Deal, Ella Ghazinouri, and Nilya Moushiabad for graduating from UCLA Chemistry and Biochemistry
